About Dr. Williams
Brian Williams, DO, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon practicing as Hands-On Orthopedics and Injury Center in Trinity, FL.
Dr. Williams treats all areas of general fractures and orthopedics. With his extensive knowledge, he provides many surgical and nonsurgical options for general injuries and accident-related injuries. He has additional training in treating neck and back problems.
He is fellowship-trained in hand and microvascular surgery and performs Sonex ultrasound-guided carpal tunnel and trigger finger release surgeries in the office setting.
After growing up in a small town in rural Maine, Dr. Williams attended Syracuse University in upstate New York for his pre-medical college education. He then relocated to Kirksville, Missouri, to complete his doctorate at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
After medical school, Dr. Williams moved to Largo, Florida, for a one-year internship at Suncoast Hospital, then accepted an orthopedic residency in Queens, New York. Wanting to return to Florida, Dr. Williams participated in a one-year fellowship program in hand and microvascular surgery through the University of Miami at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Williams is a board examiner for the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS) and director of the national board review program for the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. He also serves on the AOBOS continuing medical education committee.
He previously served as chief of surgery and chief of staff at AdventHealth North Pinellas in Tarpon Springs, Florida, and chief of orthopedics at BayCare Surgery Center in Trinity.
Outside of work, Dr. Williams spends time with his children and their pets in their home in Tarpon Springs. He enjoys working on automobiles and watching motor sports, hockey, and football.
